What is happening at The Rug Studio?
Having been on the waiting list since June 2017 we are so pleased to announce that we are finally opening a small concession at Holt Antiques and Interior centre.
Based just 2 minutes from the centre of town, promoting plenty of off-street free parking, there are 2 barns stocked with the weird and wonderful ‘can’t live without’ architectural and interior antiques and decorative items.
Open 7 days per week, Rachel or a team member will be on hand one day every 3 weeks for assistance regarding sales, cleaning and restoration enquiries.
Please call or email to book an appointment with us for our next on site date.
Open Monday – Saturday 10am – 5pm and Sunday 11am – 4pm
|What does this mean?
We are now able to see our clients from Norfolk with greater examples to hand. Predominantly keeping tribal rugs, smaller rugs and kilims as stock to give an idea of our style. In addition Rachel has been buying new stock, direct from Southern Iran a beautiful selection of semi old Persian Gidgims (blankets), semi old Afghans and Gabbehs, a stunning square all over Veramin with deer, a contemporary red and gold gabbeh and a stunning couple of ivory Nains, one of which is an odd ball to exact provenance.
In anticipation of both the Kensington Antiques and The Decorative fairs this October, Rachel has also bought a beautiful ivory Sarouk and a quirky tree of life Kazak. Both of these are in need of repair as well as a Fereghan Zieglar but, with dates in mind, we will get there. Please contact us for tickets for the fair or preview evenings.
Hitchin concession, is now closed as the premises are becoming a specialist wine bar.
